Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris was born on the 20th of October 1964. She is an American politician. She is also the first female vice-president and the highest-ranking female official in the United American. As a member of the Democratic Party, she has previously served as the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017 and was the state's attorney general from 2011 to 2017 and as a United States senator representing California until 2021. Harris was born in Oakland, California, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris began her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office prior to her move to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and then the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. She was elected San Francisco district attorney in 2003. She was elected Attorney-General of California in 2010 and was elected again in 2014. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sánchez during the 2016 Senate elections, becoming the second African American woman, and the first South Asian American, to serve as a senator in the United States Senate. As Senator, Harris was a vocal advocate for federal de-scheduling of healthcare, and legalization of cannabis as a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants as well as the DREAM Act which bans assault weapons. Her sharp questioning of Trump officials in Senate hearings earned the attention of the nation, including the second Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh who was indicted with sexual assault.
